Inspiration and beauty can be found at any moment, and it is everywhere around you. In everything and in every moment. You just have to be able to see it. But you can’t see it until you are working, as Picasso says. What does this mean? Working doesn’t mean working your 9-5. Working means already exploring, already being, and already connected to who you are.

Working means beginning your process of life. And working means taking action, and action can sometimes mean taking action to turn in, be reflective, and find your ‘self,’ the inside of who you are, not your roles that you have created to protect you.

Being connected to your soul and self is so important, but we can’t do this if we are disconnected and in survival mode due to life’s early childhood experiences or trauma. Inspiration helps us to discover our ‘self,’ but we have to begin life first.

We can walk a path a thousand times, and see nothing, and yet when we walk it again, with your ‘Self,’ with a new set of eyes and connection, we discover hidden gems and we see beauty, finding inspiration in everything around us.

True joy and inspiration come from the soul, which is found in the deep crevices of our body. The creativity, imagination and inspiration just flow like a wave that you ride, where life becomes easier knowing there is an endless supply of inspiration and hidden gems.

Suddenly where there was no inspiration, no joy or life, you find it comes flooding in from every corner, from every crevice of your life, knowing that inspiration knows you will no longer judge or control it, so you can see things you never saw before.

It is like a hidden world coming into view. This joy is a very different kind of joy to the joy that you find on the outside. This kind of joy does not require any external influence, it is simply found from within. It does not require external stimulation, or substance and does not require connection to others, but a pure raw connection to yourself. This joy creates inspiration and is attracted to you.

Inspiration finds you, you don’t go searching for inspiration, it just arrives when you are in the movement of life. No longer stuck trying to survive every day. It finds you when you have space for it. The sacred space of life.

We can spend our lives working so hard, desperately trying to create businesses, children, relationships, homes, and we try so hard to create the very thing we want, but when we use our mind to create and push and rush, instead of our soul, we do not see the beauty, gems and treasures in what we create. Instead we become dissatisfied with life, continually searching for that thing. The next thing to achieve, the next thing to fill the void. Searching for the very thing that is missing. The very thing that will give you joy.

But in order for inspiration and joy to be flowing we must have a sense of self and be able to see and feel inspiration, seeing the beauty all around us, and being able to be curious, and then inspiration finds you and helps you find your self.

One person can visit the same place, see the same thing and not feel inspired and yet another person can feel inspiration. How we see things depend on our sense of self, and if we feel inspired or not, depends it we know who we are, enabling us to see the beauty in all things. We can copy others in their inspiration but it will not fill you with joy, because it is not yours.

When we walk through life with the veils and patterns of our roles, and childhood where we have to abandon ourselves to protect our soul, we disconnect from the very part of us, that feels inspiration, wisdom and joy, finding wonder is all things, instead abandoning ourselves to try and feel any sense of connection.

Exploration for children is their communication and if your body is still having to abandon itself because it is still trying to survive, then true exploration and creativity of your soul will have no time, or space to find itself. Your body will remain stuck where trying to protect and survive is exhausting and hard work.

London is a wonderful place for inspiration, there is so much to see and be inspired by. Just like William Rich or sometimes known at Thomas Rich who invented the tired wedding cake, being inspired by Christopher Wren’s St bride Church near Fleet Street.

Fleet street known for business, is intertwined with the most beautiful history, but if you are working so hard, and so busy, sometimes we do not see the most beautiful things right in front of us.

Inspiration is everywhere, it isn’t copying, it is being inspired to create something of your own. Being a baker William took inspiration and saw the beauty in the tier of the church and thus created the tired wedding cake.

St Brides church is a little church, with the most amazing 4 tired steeple, designed by Sir Christopher Wren and completed in 1703. Hidden within the most famous streets of Fleet street.

When we are in survival mode, rushing and being busy, it is hard to see the beauty and it is hard to see inspiration, instead we go searching for inspiration, but this is not how inspiration works. You can’t force it, it has to be discovered, and it just arrives when you least expect it. When we are in love, with ourselves and can connect to our deepest emotions, no longer judging and criticising ourselves, when can surrender finding the beauty within.

On discovery of this beautiful St Brides church, there is another hidden gem, the Humble Grape wine bar, hidden underneath St Bride’s church, located in the double-vaulted crypt directly beneath it. It is not shouting from the roof tops to be noticed. It is not a place obvious to most, but if you stumble across this humble place you will find something beautiful.

When we choose to go underground in search of something beyond, and have faith that the hidden crevices, the depths of our being, that we have not yet discovered , will contain the most beautiful hidden gems.

You come to understand the face, the facade, the role, no longer has any meaning or hold, because you know beyond that role, and that facade, is the most amount of beauty.

When you turn into your life, you will, beyond a shadow of a doubt, discover your inner beauty which is not shouting from the roof stops, but holds a simple simplicity, a wisdom of knowing that beauty and joy is all around us, no matter the cover.

Who will you inspire? Or who inspires you? We don’t always know who we inspire, but just being your beautiful self is inspiration enough. Christopher Wren would have had no idea he was going to inspire the wedding cake, with his beautiful creations. He didn’t set out to impress, it is what he loved to do.
