We all need moments of pure bliss, without guilt. As woman we need moments in our lives where we can rest and replenish, but can you do it without the guilt and worry, about all the lists you need to get completed and the things you HAVE to, or SHOULD be doing.
Following your soul and what she needs is so important in life. Taking time out for you to come home to your ‘self,’ even if it is just for five minutes, is so important, and the beauty, is you can find these moments anywhere.
Moments to rest or be reflective. You just have to discover them. You can even find them in the busiest of places.
But you have to be prepared to not care about what things look like or being the ‘in’ thing. You have to follow you own vibe, not everyone else’s.
On a recent visit to Greenwich, after a downward dog kind of morning in Greenwich park, I stumbled across a beautiful little cafe. It was small but provided me with everything I needed. Peace, a moment to reflect, no interruptions and a moment to just be.
This cafe, on the inside, was not the most glamorous, or have anything shiny to offer. It was not busy, or the ‘in’ place to be, but what I found was pure magic. It gave me time and space. I did not feel like I had to rush, I could hear myself think, not always a good thing I might add, but hey, and nobody interrupted me.
Nobody needed me, I could just be with MY ‘self’. Not only did this lovely little cafe give me space, it served amazing refreshments too.
Not everything in life has to be about what it looks like, or who you are connected to, or making sure you have the right vibe, the right influence to fit in.
Not everything in life has to be glamourous. For me the most glamorous thing in life is being able to return and connect to my ‘self’ to keep connection, clarity, and return to my inner wisdom, which needs a lot of space to be found sometimes.
Turning in and embracing the love on the inside, can sometimes feel boring or not very exciting.
It can make us feel invisible for a time, or not flashy or exciting. We may not feel as popular or the ‘in’ person to be around, but turning in and finding your inner beauty and wisdom, in a space that allows you time for self reflection, reclaiming your wisdom and gifts, is beyond sexy, glamorous and the ‘in’ place to be. Because being on the inside is the most perfection you will ever find, in the most imperfect way.
This little cafe was perfection for me. It was small, had character, full of charm, and gave me TIME, and the most wonderful staff who allowed you space.
Bliss and a moment of calm in its finest. The small things in life can sometimes be the most important. They might not feel glamorous but it sure does feel GREAT.

In life we take on so many roles that keep us busy, rescuing others, being the one doing it all, or the one shouldering all the responsibility, because we have learnt through childhood this is what we have to do, or should be doing, then life becomes exhausting.
But the belief we have to do it all, is simply not true, just a belief. We never find time to look within or for self reflection, so we can navigate and create our lives the way we want them to be, or the way we want to feel. Instead we push through, keeping busy, carrying on, being the martyr, or living a life of perfection, without ourselves at the centre of it, not really knowing who you are.
Self reflection, change or transition can be messy. It takes time. It takes consistency, clarity and above all compassion. Being able to find moments of stillness in these moments is where we grow and rediscover our inner beauty and wisdom.
